Shashindra Questioned by PCoI

Former Uva Province Chief Minister Shashindra Rajapaksa and some public officials were summoned by the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into Large Scale Corruption (PCoI) with regard to alleged distribution of state owned land in Mahiyangana incurring a loss to the government.Commission Chairman Lacille De Silva said evidence was recorded from Mr. Rajapaksa and some public officers who were responsible to the incident of irregular distribution of state owned lands and unauthorized constructions in the area. Mr. Silva said they were questioned for four hours from 10 am yesterday.
