BY M. SHAMIL AMIT REPORTING FROM PALLEKELE After being outclassed in the fivematch ODI series, Sri Lanka will look to redeem their lost prestige when they play the first of the two T20s against Australia at the Pallekele International today, from 7.00 p.m. onwards. This will also be the last series for T.M. Dilshan and he will no doubt be seeking to end his career on a high note. Sri Lanka made changes for the two T20s with right arm pacie Kasun Rajitha and Sachith Pathirana being included. Kasun made his T20 debut against India in early February in Pune and also played the second game but could not find a place in the Sri Lanka squad to England. Also called back to the side are allrounders Thisara Perera and Milinda Siriwardena, and Chamara Kapugedera while Pathirana, who had a successful ODI stint,

has also been included. Players who were not considered for selection are Danushka Gunatileke, Niroshan Dickwella, Ramith Rambukwella, Lahiru Thirimanne and Farveez Maharoof who made a comeback and was in the Sri Lanka squad that toured England in June. Sachith has been successful at Pallekele where he shone against West Indies and caught the eye of the selectors with two good performances. Meanwhile Chris Lynn and Aaron Finch have been ruled out of the T20’s due to injuries. Lynn dislocated his left shoulder during a fielding session while Finch injured his right index finger whilst fielding a ball during the fifth ODI match at Pallekele on Sunday. This being the last series that T.M. Dilshan will play for Sri Lanka his team mates will no doubt be seeking to give a fitting send off and also Dilshan will also be seeking to end his international career on a high note.
