Chatra’s father Saman Weeraman who directed Sri Siddhartha Gautama served as the consultant director of the film while scripting the story. The film produced by Thusitha Wijayasena features Uddika Premaratne, Dilhani Ekanayake, Nirosha Thalagala, Roshan Ravindra, Buddhadasa Vithanachchi, Bandula Vithanage, Cletus Mendis, Nihal Fernando, Darshan Dharmaraj, Menaka Peiris, Kapila Sigera, W. Jayasiri, janak Premalal, Douglas ranasinghe, samanthi Lanerolle and others in the key roles.

Jayantha Ranawaka has handled the make up and Prabath Roshan the camera while Milinda Tennekone has handled the music direction. Sunil Wijerathne is the art director, Shan alwis the editor, Kumara Karawdeniya the costume designer and Baratha Hettiarachchi the co director.

“This film is aimed at highlighting the great historical sacrifice of the noble and venerated Arahath Monks in preserving this noble religion. It is not a gift to Sri Lankans but to the entire mankind,” Consultant Director Saman Weeraman said.
