The Bogala graphite mine had been closed temporarily since the fatal accident on Saturday,  the Police said.

Meanwhile, the officials at the Bogala Graphite Mine were reported to have requested the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau to conduct investigations on the mine to determine if there was any risk of rocks and earth collapsing in the future.  The graphite mine in Bogala, Kegalle came to standstill on Saturday after a miner was killed and two others injured when a rock fell into the mine Saturday morning. A 42-year-old resident of Bogala had died in the accident. The other two were admitted to the Karawanella Hospital.
The Pindeniya Police are investigating.
