Jaffna lawyers protest, private buses to stop operating as well

Lawyers in Jaffna had taken a decision to stay away from court duties, taking a cue from private bus operators who had decide to stop operating buses to protest against the killing of a police officer attached to the security detail of Jaffna High Court Judge M. Ilanchelian.

The Northern Province Private Bus Owners’ Association said that they would refrain from operating buses

The Northern Province Private Bus Owners’ Association said that they would refrain from operating buses to protest the killing of a police officer who was one of the two officers who were shot while providing security to the High Court Judge, demanding the immediate arrest of those involved in the shooting.
