A collection of popular classics were performed by the students of Ruvini Hapugalle Gunasekara as she celebrated 25 years in her musical career. Hence, ‘Muzikaaale’ indeed was an ‘Evening of Fun Classics’ where both intermediate and senior students brought back memories from world renowned composers such as Chopin, Greig, Brahms and Schubert. Piano duets, fusions and vocal items kept the audience swaying and tapping their toes. 

 

As a passionate teacher, Ruvini has always wanted to serve the community and bring out the hidden talents of her students. She has gone to the extent of encouraging her students to take up various avenues in music by identifying their skills. Muzikaaale was one step forward in her quest to popularise classical music in Sri Lanka.
