With the second leg of the Dialog Inter-Club League Rugby Tournament set to kick off today, Air Force Sports Club is left with considerable uncertainties over their coaching staff.

The Airmen finished off a mediocre first round finishing seventh having only secured one victory, but in the process, they have sacked two head coaches for reasons better known by the club itself.

Veteran coach Ronnie Ibrahim was expected to be their head coach for the season, but, the former Kingswood rugby star had been asked to step down from his post in chaotic circumstances a week before the tournament’s kick-off.

“I was supposed to be the head coach for the ongoing season, but I was told to resign from the post a week before the tournament and they did not mention any reasons whatsoever. It was disrespectful, but I did not want to challenge their decision,” Ibrahim told the .

Since Ibrahim’s departure, Saumya Silva was promoted as the head coach and under the former Air Force prop they were able to secure one win against Police Sports Club.

However, sources close to the club revealed that Silva has also been removed from the coaching staff while several media officials of the Air Force contacted by the failed to provide an explanation.
