A cricket enthusiast couple from Sri Lanka will be in Mumbai to witness the Indian Premier League (IPL) Twenty20 Cricket Tournament match between Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab on May 16.

The lucky couple is Earl Kamalaneson, now serving at a local church and his wife Dilhani who is currently working as an assistant to the Principal at the British School in Colombo.

“FoG (Foundation of Goodness) are sponsoring the return air tickets and Mahela will spend on their hotel stay and match tickets,” Swanthri
Jayawardena, the Communications Specialist of the charitable institute revealed yesterday.

The winner said, “I received a text message to my mobile phone requesting to make a donation to the Foundation for Goodness and Action for Good which I believed was for a worthy cause.”
“I had no idea even if I would be chosen as a winner for this trip to India. I only wanted to send some money for this cause”.

“Three days later, I received a call from a lady from the foundation that I had been chosen for this trip to watch the IPL match.”

“I shared this with my wife and we were not sure how to react to this call. We are yet in shock as to how blessed we are to be chosen.”

“I met Mahela some 15 years back. I would like to tell Mahela how much I value the work he is doing for the country and also how proud I am that he is coaching the Mumbai Indians Team.”

“I am so proud and happy to be part of their good work and would love to assist them in any way I can in the future.”

“This is a wonderful opportunity for us and I wish to thank the Foundation for Goodness and the management for organising such wonderful events and also for the super work they are doing with the community in Sri Lanka,” Kamalaneson concluded.
