Ex GM Sarath De Silva elected President of BoC Pensioners’ Association

 Untitled-20At the Annual General Meeting of the bank of Ceylon (BoC) Pensioners’ Association held recently, Mr. Sarath De Silva former General Manager of BoC was unanimously elected as the President of the Association for 2018/2019. A veteran and a versatile banker, a true professional, Mr. de Silva is a product of Royal College, Colombo where he had a very distinguished school record winning several prizes. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Sri Jayawardhanapura. He joined the Bank of Ceylon, the biggest bank in Sri Lanka, in 1965 as a young staff officer and had an illustrious career in the bank ending up as its General Manager / Chief Executive Officer. His expertise ranged from Branch Banking to Corporate Banking and he was a specialist in Development Banking.  The following were also elected unanimously as office bearers of the BoC Pensioners’ Association for 2018/2019   Immediate past president – M Sukumaran, General Secretary – Nanda Kumara Dahanayake, Treasurer – Wimal Fernando,  Vice Presidents – Nimal Peiris, Ranjith Munasinghe, H L A Wanigasekera,  Assistant Secretaries – Kingsley Mendis, Srikantha de Silva, Assistant Treasurer – V Rajendra.
