Three men of Madush nabbed Hiding at a Hotel in Kadugannawa

Three main accomplices of underworld figure Samarasinghe Arachchige Madush Lakshitha alias Makandure Madush had been arrested by the Kandy Police at a hotel in Kadugannawa yesterday.

Police Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekera said the suspects had been hiding at the hotel and were arrested following a tip-off.

He said that the Police also recovered Rs. 100,000 in cash from the suspects.

The arrested suspects were identified as 25-year -old Munasinghe Arachchige Harsha Pradeep Kumara, a resident of Panapitiya, Waskaduwa, 33-year-old Rohan Sampath Ranawaka Perera, a resident of Welambada and 35-year-old Harsha Anura Deshapriya-a resident of Meegoda.

SP Gunasekera said Anura Deshapriya was also the main associate of deceased underworld figure Rumalsha Iresh alias Baila, who was shot dead by the STF last week.

The suspects were handed over to the Organized Crimes Prevention Division for further investigation.
