The Secretary to the President Austin Fernando had informed Speaker Karu Jayasuriya that all documents pertaining to the Bonds scam investigation will be released to Parliament as soon as he gets the approval of Attorney General.
Speaker Jayasuriya told Parliament that Mr. Fernando has informed him this in a letter dated Monday June 18, 2018.

Speaker said this letter from President’s Secretary came as a reply to the request he made from the latter to release all documents pertaining to bond scam investigation by the presidential commission.

“Refrain from making allegations against each other,” he told the MPs while requesting the media not to publish anything on the bond scam till all documents are released.

Meanwhile Joint Opposition MP Mahindananda Aluthgamage said it has been confirmed that three members in the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) had obtained cheques from Perpetual Treasuries Chief Arjun Aloysius. The MP said this later in the afternoon.
