Chinese National Defence University delegation meets CDS

A twenty-five member military delegation representing the Chinese National Defence University paid a courtesy call to the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Admiral Ravindra C. Wijegunaratne on Tuesday at his Office at BMICH. The military delegation is led by Vice President of the National Defence University Lt.Gen. Tianliang, will conclude their educational tour today.   

Chief of Defence Staff extended greetings to the military delegation and exchanged views on the progress of on-going training programmes of the respective armed forces. The call-on culminated with an exchange of mementos between the officials.The courtesy call was followed by a brief presentation on the Humanitarian Operation and Regional Security Situation in the Indian Ocean region.   

The visiting senior military delegation during the brief meeting thanked the Chief of Defence Staff for the warm reception and the insights provided into the geo-economic prospects of Sri Lanka as a maritime hub in the Indian Ocean Region.
