Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held talks for 45 minutes with a Sri Lankan Parliamentary delegation headed by Speaker Karu Jayasuriya in New  Delhi, a statement from the Speaker’s office said yesterday. 

 

According to the statement, the Indian Prime Minister took time out of his busy schedule to meet with the delegation. 


TNA leader R. Sampanthan, EPDP leader Douglas Devananda, Ministers Nimal Siripala de Silva, Gayantha Karunatilaka, Mano Ganesan and Rauff Hakeem and JVP MP Vijitha Herath attended the meeting. Secretary General of Parliament, Dammika Dasanayake was also present.
