India scraped through to the final of the Under-19 Asia Cup Cricket Tournament with a close two-run win over Bangladesh in the first semi-final encounter played at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur Bangladesh yesterday.
India’s strong batting line-up was made to work hard for their runs as they ended up with a modest score of 172.

However, Bangladesh fell short by two runs in their run-chase despite a top score of 59 by Shamim Hossain and a useful 45 by Akbar Ali.

India will now meet the winner of the second semi-final encounter between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan which is scheduled for today.
