Three impersonators were arrested when they were found sitting the GCE Ordinary Level mathematics papers at Thihagoda, Thanamalivila and Kalmunai on Monday.  
Police said two candidates sitting the examination were also arrested in connection with these incidents.  

They said an examination officer at a centre at Puhulwella in Thihagoda had complained to the police saying an impersonator was answering the test paper. 
The 24-year-old suspect and 25-year-old candidate who are residents of Karathota were arrested following the complaint. 

Police said a 40-year-old suspect and a 45-year-old candidate from Marawila were arrested by the Thanamalvila Police after an examination officer at a school at Bodagama in Thanamalvila had complained to the Police. Meanwhile, a 19-year-old student from Saindamaradu who was sitting the mathematics paper at an examination centre in Kalmunai was arrested for cheating.
